Our Time in Year Two

Over the past few days the children in Year 2 have been sharing their fondest moments of the year with us. It hasn’t quite been the year we planned but during the time we spent together and the wonderful things you have shared with us whilst we have been apart, we have been so impressed with your resilience and hard work. We are all very proud of you. Thank you for the kind messages, cards and gifts and for your wonderful support.

We hope you all have a lovely summer and we can’t wait to see you all again in September.

Sophie’s Story

It was lovely to hear from Sophie this afternoon who emailed to tell me that she has been reading lots of Roald Dahl books over the past few months. The wonderful stories have inspired her to write some short stories of her own including this one titled, ‘ My Coat and Me’. Well done Sophie. I love the idea of a magical jacket!

Year 2 Beach Safety

Today Year 2 have been thinking all about beach safety. They have produced some super work on the different ways we can keep ourselves safe when we visit the beach. Many children have written some fantastic sentences all about the RNLI lifeguards who patrol lots of UK beaches to help keep us safe at the seaside. Let’s hope it won’t be long before we can start to visit our nearest beaches soon. Remember your important beach safety advice and learning when you do. Well done everyone.

Year Two’s Tuesday

A terrific Tuesday for Year Two today who have produced some brilliant work on features of coasts and how exercise affects our body! I particularly loved reading how Ruban exercises every day because he says it keeps his mind fresh and healthy! Quite right Ruban. Not only is exercise good for your body but it is a fantastic way to keep your mind fit and feeling good too – very important. Well done everyone.
