This afternoon, Year 2 have celebrated the Big Bad Pig turning into a friendly character in our latest version of The Three Little Pigs. At the end of the story, the Big Bad Pig sang and danced with the three little wolves using his own tambourine. The children have made their own fantastic tambourines and have even attached their own bells. Great job!
A great start to the year for our instrumentalists. Keep it up Ruhi and Malwina.
Sandford Hill, along with our Stoke 6 school partners recently took part in the Sign 2 Sing event. The children learnt a new song, as well as accompanying sign language. All of the children really enjoyed the challenge, and produced a fantastic performance.
Well done to all involved!
Teachers and pupils at Sandford Hill were blown away by the performance from the students from Sixth Form College. The students were inspirational and fantastic role models to us all. In years to come, let’s hope that some of our pupils return to Sandford Hill to perform just as well and to inspire the next generation. Thank you Mrs Hughes, Ben, Liv, Anna and Sally. You made our day.
We would like to say a massive thank you to all those parents and carers who attended our Maths Workshop this morning, your support is very much appreciated. We hope you found the lesson useful, and the activities fun and engaging. The children were superstars when finding half of a number. Well done everybody!
Year 4 have been learning all about “The Nutcracker” by Tchaikovsky in music this half term. The children listened to the rhythms of the piece and played along using claps, slaps and cups! They put on a fantastic performance, well done Year 4!
The children in Key Stage 2 have been learning how to sign and sing the song “Friends Forever” to help raise funds and awareness for The Deaf Health Charity. Today, all children came in non uniform to help raise money for this wonderful charity, and the children gave their final performance. What a wonderful performance it was too!
The children in key stage 2 have learned the signs for this year’s Sign2Sing song, Friends Forever. The children will be recorded performing the song in tomorrow’s song practise and the video will then be shared with KS1 and FSU as well as being used in a video collaboration with the other schools in our Stoke Six group. Thank you to the KS2 children for their enthusiasm when learning the song and thank you in advance for all the children who are planning to come to school in non-uniform tomorrow as a way of raising money for deaf children.
