Year Six are trying to solve a French Murder Mystery. La Famille Girard may look like a nice family but they are really bank robbers on the run from the police. Last night they were found dead after eating at Le Restaurant Deux Moulins. What did they eat? Were they poisoned? Year six must use their French skills and a bilingual dictionary in order to decide.
Year Five have used their knowledge from their recent Space topic in French today. They have created information posters about the planets of the solar system. The fantastic work demonstrates their understanding of French word order and adjectival agreement. I think you’d agree that their written French is ‘out of this world’!
Years 4, 5 and 6 have been celebrating World Book Day this week in French. We have read two French children’s books. Year 4 enjoyed ‘le loup qui voulait changer de couleur’. We then created our own class version. Years 5 and 6 read ‘tu lis ou?’, a book all about different places to read. Year 6 did some fantastic writing about where they like to read and their favourite authors and books. Fantastique!
Year Five have been learning how to order food and a drink in a French cafe. Glad to know they won’t starve if they find themselves in France!
Year Six have been learning how to ask for and give directions. No need to worry about getting lost in France now!
