To continue our ‘Holidays’ topic, the children in Reception learnt about France yesterday. We made the Eiffel Tower, wrote a postcard from DisneyLand Paris and even tasted croissants and French bread with roule cheese!
All this sunny weather is making us think about going on holiday! Year 6 decided to have a trip to Paris this afternoon. We visited the sites of Paris, seeing many of them whilst enjoying a boat ride on the river. It might only have been in our imagination but we loved our trip so much that we’ve started to write about the best places to visit. We hope that our work will help you enjoy a trip to Paris too. (even if it is in your imagination!)
Year Four have been giving their opinions of different methods of transport. They’ve been writing and speaking in full sentences in French.
Mrs Frost’s class have been learning how to get to know each other in French. They can ask and answer questions about their name, age and how they are feeling. I think you’ll agree that their French is ‘fantastique’.
Year Six have been learning the French for places in a town. These fantastic pieces of work are just a few examples showing how well the children can write in French. Well done Year Six!
Year four have been talking about animals in French. We have completed the topic by creating a poster for a lost animal. The French is fantastic and the drawings are lovely too!
This half term in French, year six have been learning about colours and clothes. They are now experts in colour adjective agreement. This is a selection of written work from today’s lesson. Year six have written about what they wear for school and in their free time. I think that you’ll agree that this work is ‘fantastique’. Well done Year Six!
Year Six have been ordering food and drink ‘au café’ today. “Je voudrais un croissant s’il vous plaît!”
Year 4 have been trying out a new French Builder App on the iPads this morning. It’s a great way for them to consolidate the French they have learnt this year. Well done year 4, I think you have demonstrated your amazing French skills and had fun at the same time!
