Brilliant Bears in Year 6

As part of our Design and Technology focus around sewing, Year 6 have created some wonderful teddy bears. They thought about what makes a good teddy bear and used this information to come up with a design. Then, following their design, they chose material and a template and used running stitch or blanket stitch to create their bear. The children worked fantastically as a team when they found things more challenging and showed care and determination throughout the project. The bears have then featured as part of a Science project as our very own shadow puppets. As you can see from the photographs below, the children have created some bears that we can all be very proud of.

Freya is really pleased with her bear and its given her confidence that she can do something she didn’t think she was able to!!!

Year 6 your bears look adorable! Whether it is you or the person you have chosen to gift your bear to, I am sure that these bears are going to get lots of cuddles. Once again, I am so impressed with your perseverance, imagination and sewing skills. I am sure that you are proud of your achievements and that your bear will be kept safe along with the Christmas bauble you sewed last year. (I just hope that Mr Frost doesn’t notice that his old shirts have been cut up!)
    Well done! Mrs Frost.
