Year Two Visit Cosford

Yesterday we had a lovely trip to Cosford RAF Museum! The children enjoyed looking at lots of different planes and discovering how planes work through lots of Scientific investigations. We were extremely lucky to see the Spitfire which was designed by Reginald Mitchell (who we will be learning about later in the term) and to try on different pilot outfits from World War One and Two.

We had a fantastic time going to Cosford and looking at the aeroplanes. My favourite one was the Spitfire because it goes so fast!

Our school trip was fun. Also we learned about lots of Science projects about Gravity and Air. The air and gravity are what makes a plane fly through the air. The planes can fly very far. The planes we saw weren’t the ones that take you to holiday but were from the olden days. One of the really old ones is the Spitfire.

When we went to Cosford, we had lots of fun and we learned all about planes from the past. We had some dinner there too and I had chicken spread with cake too! We made Jesse put on some old pilot clothes. They were made from sheepskin.

I’m really pleased to hear that you had such a good time on your visit to Cosford. You may also be interested to know that you can also see a Spitfire in the Potteries Museum in Hanley. Do go and take a look if you get chance, it’s really special.
