Nursery Go On A Bare Foot Walk.

Today nursery have read the story ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’. We have made a bear with a shiny wet nose and two goggly eyes and we have been on a bare foot walk. The children talked about what each one of the textures felt like with their feet.

How wonderful to hear the children always have so much fun no wonder Jonathan is so tired tonight with this lovely long walk

I really enjoyed sharing your exciting bear hunt adventure boys and girls. I wonder if when you walked through the mud it went squelch, squerch, squelch, squerch like it does in Michael Rosen’s story?

Lyla loved telling me about the squelching on the bear hunt and she asked to read the ‘were going on a bear hunt’ story for bedtime. She could tell me all about the story!

It is lovely to here so many children are enjoying the story this week. We’re going on a bear hunt is a fantastic story. As I have been going around the nursery, I have been hearing lots of children saying quotes from the story “we’re going to catch a big one” and “we’re not scared”. Wonderful to know that your little ones are developing a joy of books.
