Food For Life Award Ceremony

On Thursday evening, Millie, Tino, Mr Walford and I attended an award ceremony at Middleport Pottery to receive our Food for Life Bronze award. The girls enjoyed a clay workshop and afternoon tea before delivering their presentation to a packed room of teachers, caterers, councillors and other important people involved in the health and well being of children in our city. It was a wonderful experience and we were so proud to represent our amazing school.

Millie had so much fun at this event and was so pleased to be chosen to represent Sandford Hill. I am so proud of her and the efforts of the school to promote healthy eating, although we did especially enjoy the cakes she bought home as a treat. Thank you for taking photographs, so lovely to see what they got up to.

I really enjoyed joining Millie and Tino at the awards ceremony. It was a real pleasure to hear about all the achievements of our amazing SNAG committee. The Bronze Award was very richly deserved. Well done to all of the children and also to Mrs Carney for her enthusiasm for and leadership of the project.
